Pubic Shaving

Pubic shaving is one of those subjects considered "taboo", especially with men.  Few men talk openly about this activity.  This, unfortunately don't let other people stay well informed about shaving the pubic hair properly.

Beginners in pubic shaving often make mistakes that can be very uncomfortable, and even frustrating.

So, seeing this, I've put together a collection on my knowledge about the topic.  I've been shaving my pubic hair for quite some time and know how to do it properly.  That's because I'm also involved in the men's skin care world with my site Men's Skin Care Tips.

Before you begin your journey in the world of pubic shaving let me tell you that developing the right technique takes patience, so set aside some time to do it relaxed without time-related stress.

Benefits of Pubic Shaving

Pubic shaving can be rewarding for men.  From my own experience, I consider it has 3 major benefits:

Freshness.  The pubic area can be a warm section of our body.  Things get worse during summer.  It is always good to feel fresh down there without too much humidity and sweating that can lead to itching.

A cleaner pubic area.  Of course the less hair you have, the better you’ll be able to clean.  The same freshness feeling keep your “family jewels” clean.

An optical inch.  This may be the secret reason for why men want to shave down there.  Shaving your pubic hair gives your friend down there an optical inch.  Great for the ladies ;)

The Needed Pubic Shaving Tools

Before going further, be sure you have the following items.  They're your "pubic shaving tools"

Scissors.  The scissors will help you trim the hair as safely close as you can to make shaving much easier.

A warm towel.  It is advisable that you take a hot bath first, but if you can't, a hot towel helps opening up the pores the let pubic hair come off softer.

Razor blade.  A quality one, and preferably new.

Shaving cream.  Choose one for sensitive skin as the pubic area is VERY sensitive.

Moisturizer.  After you shave the skin tends to end up dry.  A moisturizer will bring back the natural moisutre in your pubic skin.
